In June, the federal government passed legislation to recognize September 30th, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, as a federal statutory holiday. However, the Ontario government has recently opted not to make that date a statutory holiday for the province. September 30th, 2021 will be a regular school day for Al-Ameen students although it was previously indicated as a holiday on our school calendar.
