Mental Health Support Program
At Al-Ameen, our students are the pride of our community. Sometimes students may feel the need to speak to someone other than their parents or homeroom teachers about something that’s on their minds. Therefore, we have decided to start a Mental Health Support Program.
Starting next week, students will be able to book an appointment and have the opportunity to speak with our Mental Health Counselor, Ms. Rehan, our Grade 6 homeroom teacher. Ms. Rehan will be available on Tuesdays during the 3rd period for appointments. Students can book an appointment during their snack or lunch breaks in the office. We feel that initiating this program is important, as having good mental health is a highly crucial aspect of a healthy lifestyle.
This program will aim to help with building children’s self-esteem and will encourage a positive learning environment. It will help provide students with the assurance that they are not alone and there is someone available to help and listen to their problems.
