Changes to the Dismissal Process

Assalamu Alaikum

Dear Al-Ameen Parents,

We hope this email reaches you in the best of health, insha’Allah.

Alhamdulillah, we have completed the first week of our school year. This was our first experience with students taking classes both virtually and on-site. We are proud of our students as they were able to quickly adjust to the precautionary measures in place due to COVID-19 such as wearing masks throughout the day and maintaining physical distancing. We wouldn’t have been able to make this transition without the ongoing support from our dedicated staff, students, and parents. We’d like to thank everyone for their co-operation in this regard.

Peel Public Health has shared a document outlining some safety measures that they would like parents and students to follow. You can access this document by clicking here.

Changes to the Dismissal Process
To maintain physical distancing during the dismissal, we made the following modifications to the dismissal process:
3:20 pm KG Dismissal – KG students wait inside the building near the entrance. Parents stand near the doors and students are handed off to them.
3:25 pm Grades 1-3 Dismissal – Grades 1 and 2 students wait inside the building near the entrance. Parents stand near the doors and students are handed off to them. Grade 3 students are dismissed from outside.
3:30 – Grades 4-8 Dismissal – To limit the time students are standing in a line next to other students, we will allow Grades 4-8 students to join their parents as soon as they see them without having to wait in a line for the teacher to dismiss them. Students that do not see their parents will continue to wait with their teacher starting Wednesday, September 16, 2020.

The event is finished.
