A Premiere Islamic School in Toronto GTA, Brampton – Al Ameen Elementary School
Since our students spend a major portion of their year in classrooms, we take it upon ourselves to teach them core values that are essential for a child’s growth and positive character development. Character education is a collaborative process and shared responsibility of parents, teachers, and members of the community. It is through this process that young minds learn and understand core ethical values such as respect, justice, civic virtue, citizenship, and responsibility for self and others. As a school, we successfully implement character education by taking a leadership role in bringing the staff, parents, and students together to identify and define the elements of character they want to emphasize. We also provide training for staff on how to incorporate character education into the life and culture of the school. We also ensure that we offer multiple opportunities for students to learn and enact positive social behaviours in real-life scenarios.
